The Lymecycline molecule in 3-D

Lymecycline is a fairly recent broad spectrum tetracycline antibiotic.

As such it has a distinctive four-ring structure with a side chain, which presumably enhances its solubility and makes it easily absorbed.

It is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections, including acne.
