As an 'Amazon Associate' I ought to earn from qualifying purchases. Biotopics has used this in the past to cover operating expenses, but it has been less successful recently.
Amazon withdrew support for single image + text links to products I had selected as useful in different contexts, and I have replaced them with links to search results which is (in their words) "a great way to direct visitors to a long list of related products".
I notice that Amazon throw in links to other subjects.
