Results from leaf obscured by cork discs
This is a scan of a Petri dish containing a leaf which had light falling only on the outer zone, not the central circular zone. After decolorisation, and treatment with Iodine solution, the contrast is obvious. Starch only formed in the outer (now dark) area, where light originally fell.
